Conscious Connected Breathwork (Aotearoa Embodiment Collective)
Event description
WELCOME TO
Conscious Connected Breathwork – Dunedin
Join me, Jack Synnott, for a small guided Conscious Connected Breathwork session, limited to just 4 participants.
This powerful, science-informed practice uses a continuous high-ventilation breathing pattern (without pauses between inhalation and exhalation, typically through the mouth) to shift physical, mental, and emotional states.
Conscious Connected Breathwork
When guided safely and correctly, conscious connected breathwork can allow people to experience powerful but safe altered states of awareness. The practice shifts how oxygen and carbon dioxide are balanced in the body, which temporarily changes brain activity. This reduces the dominance of the prefrontal cortex and related networks—areas linked with analysis, overthinking, and ego-related activity—while heightening activity in deeper regions of the brain connected to emotion, memory, and the subconscious.
In this safeguarded state, people often find they can move beyond constant thinking, connect more deeply with their intuition, and experience greater self-awareness, insight, and emotional release. Importantly, at any stage you are welcome to slow back down to normal breathing, or stop completely if you feel uncomfortable—your safety and choice remain central throughout the process.
What to Expect
Introduction & Intention: Learn how the session works, practice the breathing technique and ask any questions. It can help to come with an intention that you want to focus on…., (e.g. What’s important for you to prioritise right now)
Breathwork Journey: Around 30 minutes of guided conscious connected breathing. You’ll be supported throughout, always in control of your own pace. Many people experience emotional release, physical sensations, or profound clarity.
Integration: Gentle return to calm with music, followed by space to rest, journal, or share reflections.
Aftercare: A follow-up message within 1–2 days to check in and offer support.
