Cottesloe Coastcare - October 2026

Cottesloe Coastcare Association is a group of local volunteers who joined together in 1995 to protect the few remaining natural areas in Cottesloe. We are still hard at work!

These natural areas are mostly along the coast and our local vegetation with spinifex, blue fan flowers and silvery saltbush provides habitat for local wildlife and adds to Cottesloe’s sense of place. Our green spaces promote human health and well-being. The dunes are also a critical line of defence against erosion.

We work to protect these areas so that everyone, now and in the future, can appreciate our local plants, animals and birds.

Event Details

• Date: Sunday, October 4th

• Activity duration: 9 am – 11 am

• Getting there: Meet Harshita and Phylicia at Hackett Cafe at 8am to catch public transport or make your own way there (MYOWT).

• Location: To be confirmed

• Notes from the Cottesloe Coastcare Team:

  We have all the tools required and gloves. Also a First aid kit and Defib.

  Everyone must wear covered shoes, we recommend long sleeves and long trousers plus hats and sun protection. 

  We will provide morning tea with water, tea and coffee. 

• Attire: Please wear bush-safe clothing including long sleeves, long pants, shoes with socks, and a hat. We also recommend bringing some water and wearing sunscreen on the day. Bushcare tools and guidance will be provided.
