Constellations
Description
In partnership with the Superposition Festival Modern Art Projects Blue Mountains (MAPBM) presents an evening of song, performance, moving image and star gazing at the historic Linden Observatory. Audience participation is encouraged as we sing select songs to the stars led by the Basic Pitch Choir and local musician Daniel Morphett (El Duende) in addition to performing his own work accompanied by projections on the observatory dome.
Artists Carolyn Eccles and Sean O'Keeffe as DARKroom present APUS. Linden Observatory offers APUS a return to the night sky. Reconsidered for this remarkable place of astronomical observation, and heritage, the work brings image, movement, landscape and celestial imagination into dialogue, allowing the observatory itself to become an active presence within the unfolding work.
This is an opportunity to visit and enjoy this unique site of astronomical research. The Linden Observatory will run tours of the dome and night sky viewing. https://www.lindenobservatory.org.au/ Bring a picnic or enjoy a bite from the sausage sizzle.
