Consultation Info session: defining Social Enterprise in Northern Ireland
Event description
The Department for the Economy invites you to an information session on the consultation of the proposed definition for social enterprises in Northern Ireland. Developed by the Social Enterprise Policy Group formed in 2024, this framework aims to provide a clear, consistent way to identify social enterprises and ensure government funding reaches the right organisations.
This session will discuss how the consultation process works, outline the proposed three-tier definition, and explore the potential benefits of an accreditation system. You will have the opportunity to learn how these changes could shape future funding approaches from April 2027, and how your organisation can contribute to the consultation.
Join us to engage with the proposals, ask questions, and help influence policy that supports a thriving and inclusive social economy in Northern Ireland.
