About the Launch

The Consumers’ Federation of Australia is excited to launch Consumer Advocacy Essentials, a new online course designed to increase knowledge and capability amongst new consumer advocates.

Join us for a free 60-minute online launch event on 4 November, 12-1pm (AEDT), featuring:

  • A panel discussion with contributors to the course, ASIC Commissioner, Alan Kirkland and Consumer Affairs Victoria Director, Nicole Rich. Alan and Nicole will share their perspective what makes effective consumer advocacy and what they wished they knew when they started as consumer advocates.

  • An introduction to the course – what it covers, who it’s for and how it fits into CFA’s work building advocate capability

  • A sneak peek at some course content

  • Practical information on how to access the course

  • Time for your questions

Course Access

Staff of CFA member organisations who register for this event will automatically be given access to the course. So, please register even if you can’t make the live session.

The event itself is open to anyone. However, course access is limited to CFA members. If you’re not eligible for CFA membership but would like access to the course, please get in touch with Rosie Thomas, Executive Director CFA to discuss.
