Contemporary Issues in PRME Annual Lecture 2024

Climate Change and Gender Equity

The climate crisis is not gender neutral. Analysis by the UN shows that the impacts of climate change amplify existing gender inequalities and threatens the livelihood, health, and safety of women and girls. But this is not just outside of Australia. There is concern in Australia about how disasters such as bushfires impact women’s financial stability especially in rural areas.

This year’s Contemporary Issues in PRME (Principles of Responsible Management Education) lecture by Kate Chaney, Independent Federal member for Curtin, will discuss these challenges.
