Contraception 101 Webinar December 2025

This online workshop consists of two parts: an online module (approximately 2 hours) to complete prior to attending the 2 hour webinar. This education will enable participants to provide contraceptive choice information to their patients, and to be able to discuss the main contraindications to the different methods available.

Learning outcomes

1. Identify the main contraindications to contraceptive options

2. Discuss the pros and cons of the contraceptive choices available to Australian patients.

This module is a prerequisite for nurses and midwives planning to undertake further training in IUD insertion and/or contraceptive implants with SHQ.
