Controlling Feral Olives Demonstration Day

Looking for the best options to control feral olives?

Join us and other property managers to learn the best ways to tackle this weed.

An experienced weed controller will demonstrate methods of herbicide application to kill olive trees of different forms and ages. Methods will be provided for a range of situations, including sensitive natural vegetation areas and open grazing land. Demonstrations will include conventional applications of ‘drill and fill’, ‘cut and swab’ and ‘basal bark application’.

Where: Park at the eastern end of Woodend Rd Trott park. There is a short 200m walk to the site. 

What to wear: Wear sturdy footwear, sun protection, and long pants and sleeves. 

Please bring gloves and hand secateurs if you have them to participate in practicing olive control techniques. 

There are free take home swab bottles for all participants who attend.

Access to the site is over steep uneven terrain please advise us if you will require assistance.
