Convergence has been running for 40 years in various forms and locations around Canterbury. For many years it has been held in the foothills of North Loburn, just 40 minutes north of Christchurch. Now in its fifth decade, it's one of New Zealand's most unique and enduring community gatherings.
Convergence is co-created - everyone is encouraged to contribute, get involved, get creative, or, just take a break.
Lunches, dinners and workshops are all included in the ticket price. No money changes hands on site.
The week offers swimming holes, sauna, moonlit baths, music, drumming, cabaret, a New Year celebration, many free workshops including yoga, massage, healing, dance, arts and crafts, spirituality, and more — in a setting of natural beauty alongside the Grey River.
The event is alcohol and drug free, dog free, and eco-friendly. Food is vegetarian and vegan. The site welcomes people of all ages, beliefs and backgrounds.
Bring yourself. Bring your experience. Share it with everyone.
