Lydia Fairhall is a Worimi woman, born on Bundjalung country, now living between the Kulin nations and Gubbi Gubbi country. Lydia has lead arts organisations across Australia, and developed her own powerful leadership style, drawn from a wise practice framework. 

In our Conversation Event, Lydia will explore the intersections between old and new knowledge, consciousness and creativity, and what this means for the possibilities of a new economy. She will delve into how she has blended her business and creative skills to bring transformational stories to the world. Lydia reminds us that we are master creators, here to heal and enliven the world with our own unique gifts. When we build and contribute to our organisation and community from that place of service, people and planet thrive.

About Lydia Fairhall:

Lydia Fairhall is a Worimi woman, born on Bundjalung country, now living between the Kulin nations and Gubbi Gubbi country. From a challenging early life to a soulful, creative adult life as a mother, producer, curator and singer/songwriter, and custodian of ancient wisdom, Lydia is the embodiment of compassionate resilience. As the former Executive Producer and Co CEO of Ilbijerri Theatre Company, one of Australia’s leading companies showcasing the work of First Nations artists, she championed in a new era of maturity for the organisation. She has also worked as Producer for Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Head of Programming for Footscray Community Arts Centre. She is currently Curator in Residence at Arts Centre, Melbourne.

About our host, Mele-Ane Havea:

Mele-Ane Havea is our CEO and the Chair of B Lab Au NZ. She has a varied background, from corporate law to community and human rights law, with an Oxford MBA thrown in for good measure. At the Skoll Centre for Social entrepreneurship, Mele-Ane became enamoured by the idea of social and responsible business, and the power of story-telling.
