Conversations About Israel: Peta Jones Pellach (Women Wage Peace) + Rabbi Jeffrey Kamins OAM
Event description
At this special edition of our Conversations About Israel, join Rabbi Jeffrey B. Kamins OAM and Peta Jones Pellach for an inspiring conversation on women’s voices, hope, and working together for a better future.
Since making Aliyah nearly 16 years ago, Peta Jones Pellach has established herself as a significant voice in interreligious dialogue and peace-building in Jerusalem. She is Director of Education for the Elijah Interfaith Institute, a co-founder of Praying Together in Jerusalem and an active member of Israel’s largest grass-roots movement, Women Wage Peace.
Women Wage Peace is Israel’s largest grass-roots peace movement, with over 80,000 signatures on its flagship declaration, The Mothers’ Call. Founded just over a decade ago, the movement lost one of its founders, Vivian Silver, on October 7th, yet has continued to fight for the values she represented and spread.
Following the conversation, you are invited to join us for a beautiful communal lunch, lovingly prepared by Nora's Kitchen.
If initiatives like this one are important to you, please consider making an impactful donation to Emanuel Synagogue to support our important work. We are grateful for your generosity and can’t do it without you.
