A HCI Networking Event to bring attention to a shifting economic transformation that understands that prosperity can be created by investing in prevention – to measure, and value, the health and wellbeing of people and planet.

Keynote Speaker:

Warwick Smith
is the Program Director – Wellbeing Economy at the Centre for Policy Development. He is an economist, writer, company director and philosopher with broad interests including economic development, the application of evidence in public policy formulation, health, social justice, democracy, statistics/econometrics, demographic economics, tax economics, gender economics, environmental economics and the history and philosophy of economics.

Panelists: 

  • Xuan Deng, Director, Performance Budgeting Frameworks, NSW Treasury. Xuan will provide an overview of the NSW Wellbeing Framework, what it is, and how it is designed to work. Xuan currently leads a team that uses economic wellbeing frameworks, data and evidence to improve the living standards of NSW residents, through better government decision making.   
  • Alfredo Paloyo, Associate Professor and Head of Economics at the University of Wollongong. 
  • Elijah Hurley, UOW Vice-Chancellor Leadership Scholar, UOW Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Economics & Finance Student.
