Event description

Perth College will be hosting Conversations with Brant Garvey on Sunday 24 July from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm in the Rose Dining, with tea and coffee available.

Brant was born as an above knee amputee and was told that he would never be able to run. For a long time, he accepted this as an excuse. At the age of 28, after drifting through life without a sense of purpose or direction, Brant decided to stop making excuses and start making a change. Within a year of trying, failing and succeeding to run on his artificial leg, Brant became the first Australian above knee amputee to compete in an Ironman Triathlon, setting a world record time in the process.

From keynote speaking to team-building exercises and coaching, No Xcuses equips people with the mindset and range of skills needed to develop resilience. As a speaker, Brant has the innate ability to connect with each audience member and share with them his wisdom and tools for leadership, teamwork and resilience in everyday practice.

Please note those over 16 years of age must be double vaccinated and wear a mask to attend. Proof of vaccination will need to be shown on arrival.
