Harvest, Cook & Connect Night
Description
ABOUT THE CLASS
Harvest, Cook & Connect Location: Lairg Community Centre (Main Hall)
Date: Wednesday, 23rd September
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Join our tutor, Maddy, for a fun and informative fermenting session in the main hall at Lairg Community Centre! You’ll transform fresh, local vegetables - generously provided by Veg on the Edge and grown right here in the Lairg polytunnel -into delicious, sustainable foods like fermented ketchup and a brassica lactoferment to taste and take home.
Beyond the kitchen station, you’ll have the chance to meet and chat with a panel of expert local growers. Whether you want to pick up top gardening tips, or learn more about local produce, this evening is all about celebrating community and sustainability. Everyone is welcome - come cook, learn, and connect!
Booking is essential for the fermenting class, as spaces are limited! However, if you'd just like to pop in to chat with our expert growing panel, no booking is required—feel free to drop by anytime between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
