Cooking Up Stories To Make Delicious Books: A Writing Workshop For Kids!
Event description
Join us for a fun children's writing workshop where they'll be cooking up stories to make delicious books! Our future writers will listen to stories from books that trigger their imagination, learn how to connect their writing to literacy, and write a simple story in 5 clear steps. Then children (and parents) will collaborate to create their own storybooks. Free writing toolkits will be provided to all children present. Best suited for children ages 5-11 years.
This workshop is built and presented by Dr. Elechi Osueke, an accomplished elementary school educator in District 29 (Jamaica) Queens.
PLEASE NOTE: RSVPs are for the children attending the workshop *only*. The parent/caregiver with them does not require an RSVP.
