Curious about how to make your garden more resilient in a warming climate?  Learn how the Farnham Street Community Garden has evolved to flourish in challenging times, including how a wicking bed works, and hardy plants for a food forest. Includes a short tour of the garden and our existing climate friendly features as well as an introduction to the new permanent shade structures. 

In this workshop you will learn how to create a DIY portable shade structure from upcycled materials for small beds. 

Indoor and outdoor event.  BYO water bottle, hat and sunscreen.

Light refreshments and sharing of ideas will follow the workshop.

Cool it Working Bee will also run at 1.30pm to create the new sturdy shade structures. Tickets for each individual event are required.
