About the Circle

The Mindfulness Circle is a community project created with the mission of providing a safe, accepting, and grounded space where people can be heard, seen, and vulnerable. Additionally, it aims to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation. By joining the circle, you will engage in mindfulness practices, heart-sharing, and authentic community connections, all while making meaningful impacts on others’ lives. Our mindfulness circle operates on a donation basis, with contributions going directly towards the circle’s expenses, such as space hire and activity supplies. Any remaining funds are donated to The Fred Hollows Foundation to support their mission to end avoidable blindness.

The Circle's intention

The Circle was created with the intention of providing an authentic and grounded space where people come together in a spirit of openness, acceptance and wonder to connect and share in a deeper and more open way than what is usually available in day to day life. Where we can feel safe to laugh and cry and be seen in our vulnerability.

Each week, everyone is invited to share from the heart about what is currently alive for them or what they are going through, while being witnessed by the rest of the group. Other weeks, we may explore specific themes. Often, just sharing and being seen helps us find our own answers and gain clarity to move forward with new insights. Additionally, each circle includes a meditation practice to help us connect from a place of presence. There are often some mindfulness or creative activities/ workshops each month to help us cultivate self-expression and practice the art of letting go.

Details

- Time: 3pm - 5pm every Sunday (GMT+10) 

- Location: The Clear Skies Project Studio (30A Griffith St, Coolangatta) 

- Cost: by donation/ pay it forward <3 

- BYO: journal, cushion, blanket, everything you need to create a comfy “nest” for yourself :) 

Rather than booking a single circle session, you can use our one-time registration form to sign up for a membership at Coolangatta Mindfulness Circle.

What to expect

- Creative/ Mindfulness Activities (occasionally) 

- Hot tea and plant-based snacks (made with love) for us to share ^^

Each week there is an invitation to share what is on our heart or discuss a specific topic (i.e Empathy, Vulnerability, Grief, Surrendering, Self-love, Forgiveness, Dealing with conflict, Working with anxiety,…). Two short meditation sessions are included in each circle. There are also some mindfulness/ creative/ reading/ journalling activities on an occasional basis.
