Event description

Join us at the Honeyeaters Community property in Copeland for a walk-and-talk field trip into the forest where we will look at locally occurring koala feed trees.

Caitlin Orr - Koala Project Officer from Council, and Isabelle Strachan - Private Land Conservation Officer from Landcare will show us what to look for when looking for Koala in the wild, and how to identify common feed tree species.

We will show you how to sustainably harvest, process and store Eucalyptus seed for the purposes of propagating tubestock.

We will also run through some common botanical features used in Eucalypt identification keys.

The event is free for Gloucester Environment Group and Landcare members, but numbers are limited.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

This event is part of the Private Land Conservation Matters program, funded by the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust in partnership with Landcare NSW and supported locally by MidCoast Council.
