Work Integration Social Enterprise (WISE) - Community of Practice 17/06/2025
Event description
Work Integration Social Enterprise - Community of Practice
Welcome to STREAT's Community of Practice (CoP), designed for practitioners in Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) who run training and employment programs for people facing barriers to work. This CoP aims to offer peer learning and skill development while providing essential doses of connection, motivation, and hope. Whether you're a newcomer with fresh insights or a seasoned professional with deep wisdom to share, you're invited to join us. Our structured co-created sessions ensure a dynamic exchange where expertise is shared and support requests are warmly received, including an all-popular round of ‘give-and-get’. This approach promotes diverse perspectives, strengthening leadership and decision-making within our community. Having a dedicated space to connect, collaborate, tackle challenges, and celebrate wins—big and small—helps remind us why this work matters.
Through regular meetings, we will exchange tools, techniques, and experiences to enhance the effectiveness of WISEs and the broader Australian social enterprise ecosystem. Our focus is on practical, people-centred solutions that improve outcomes for both participants and enterprises.
This CoP is open to Australian WISE practitioners responsible for designing, delivering, or evaluating training and employment pathways, including:
Support staff (coaches, wellbeing coordinators, transition support)
WISE program managers or operational managers
Trainers working directly with priority cohorts
HR staff supporting WISE employment models
Join us in building a supportive, knowledgeable network committed to creating lasting impact. We hope you learn something, share your wisdom and experience, feel less lonely and have a touch of fun along the way.
The second session will be held Tuesday, 17 June 2025 – 12:30-2:00 pm (AEST)
