Welcome to 1st Dargaville Girls’ Brigade.
We are really excited about our company and we trust your daughter/s will enjoy her/their time with us.
Our weekly meeting is Thursday afternoon, held in terms 2 & 3.  Girls can arrive from 3pm (free time/afternoon tea) Official group time is 3:30pm -5pm.
Pioneers (yr9 up) meet at 4:30pm-6pm.

Both programs includes opportunities to enjoy craft  activities and everything in between: camping, make up sessions, sleepovers, games, dance, horse riding, life skills, photography, music, first aid, cooking, pet care, crafts, spiritual development and sports.

Girls’ Brigade in New Zealand enjoys a special relationship with Girls’ Brigades around the Pacific, through the GB Pacific Fellowship which includes; Tonga, American Samoa, Australia, Tuvalu, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Niue. Being part of an international family provides opportunities to be included in international events such as training courses and camps/Fonomarae.

We desire to see the girls grow in all areas of their life: physically, educationally, socially and spiritually. Our program offers a variety of challenging and exciting activities which are biblically based and culturally relevant. Our leaders provide a safe and encouraging environment in which to explore these areas.

Our Leaders implement risk assessment and management systems and at all times prioritize the safety of girls.  Selected by the company with the church because of their skills, faith and character, leaders must complete initial and ongoing training.  All leaders are Police Vetted and registered with our national Support Centre. Fellowship and guidance through tried and tested structures ensures every leaders has support and oversight.

Girls’ Brigade New Zealand aims to help girls become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to find true enrichment of life through faith, self-control, reverence and a sense of responsibility in thought, word and deed, to seek, serve and follow Christ.

Our ministry is to the girls and young women of New Zealand, recognizing that girls have personal gifts, callings, characters and needs – some of which are gender specific, so that girls benefit from time and space to be girls, valued as people each made in God’s image.

Thousands of girls have been and are being enriched through the GB program.
