In this class you will use solid colours and play with abstracting geometrics, improvising shapes to build your own unique improv quilt. Starting with a paper exercise to decide how shapes will look, you will use the Hexagon Riffing Quilt as a guide, to identify areas of the shape that spark interest and create several blocks with varying improvised combinations and scales. Project scale is flexible but over two days the class will be geared towards making a quilt top sized composition.
