A Celtic Soirée ~ Motueka
Event description
A Celtic Soiree brings an evening of traditional Celtic music and Celidh Dancing.
Half Light are a duo who play innovative, original Celtic music. An international concert act, their music combines the virtuoso flute and whistle playing of Melbourne-based Rennie Pearson with Wellington guitarist Bob McNeill's dynamic and intricate finger style.
Rough Town is a powerhouse ensemble on a mission to ignite the folk scene with their fun, infectious blend of traditional tunes and irresistible grooves. Hailing from Auckland these musicians deliver the universal elements of dance music wholeheartedly, encouraging their audiences to bridge the gap between Irish, celidh and club dancing,
Combined, this awesome talent is going to bring us a Cèilidh, or céilí; a contemporary take on the traditional event of dancing, music, and storytelling in the Gaelic areas of Scotland and Ireland.
There will be a cash bar and food stall to keep you refreshed throughout the evening.
We look forward to welcoming you to this mid winter warmer!
