Arts North West Gallery Insights: Creative Labs - Moree
Description
Gallery Insights Creative Lab
A regional conversation about art, audiences and cultural infrastructure
Arts North West invites artists, curators, gallery and museum staff, arts workers and cultural organisations to participate in a full-day Gallery Insights Creative Lab.
Gallery Insights is a region-wide professional development and research initiative designed to strengthen creative pathways, audience development and cultural infrastructure across the New England North West.
Using a collaborative World Café format, participants will move between facilitated discussion tables to share their experiences, identify challenges and help shape practical solutions for the region.
Discussion topics will include:
what regional galleries are looking for
developing exhibition-ready bodies of work
working with curators, galleries and museums
preparing exhibitions for touring
strengthening professional pathways for regional artists
understanding audiences and barriers to participation
cultural tourism and regional economic impact
regional storytelling and truth-telling
collaboration, advocacy and future sector priorities
The knowledge gathered through the Creative Labs will directly inform a Gallery Insights Framework, an Audience Research and Development Toolkit and a regional professional development workshop program.
This is an opportunity to have your voice heard, connect with other creative professionals and help shape stronger pathways for artists, galleries, museums and audiences across the New England North West.
Who should attend?
Regional artists, curators, gallery and museum staff, arts workers, cultural organisations, council representatives, educators and anyone involved in presenting, supporting or developing visual arts and cultural experiences.
Please advise Arts North West of any access or dietary requirements when registering.
