Beginners Procreate Course

Course dates: Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th July, 2025 - 9am to 12pm each day (one ticket includes both sessions).

Welcome to the Beginners Procreate Course! Whether you're new to digital art or transitioning from traditional mediums, this course will guide you through the essentials of Procreate.

I'm Mila your course coordinator; you might recognise me from the previous Procreate sessions alongside Georgie. As a self-taught Procreate enthusiast and up-and-coming artist, I'm excited to share the endless possibilities that Procreate offers. My goal is to help young artists unlock their creative potential by breaking down the complexities of Procreate into simple, approachable lessons. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to level up your skills, I'm here to guide you on your own artistic journey.

In this course we will cover everything from navigating the interface, understanding the tools and creating your very own digital masterpiece. You'll learn how to use Procreate's many features, including how to create and organise your canvas, work with layers, use brushes, and how to make basic animations. Let's get started and unlock the creative possibilities that Procreate has to offer.

This course suits young artists, aged 10-18.

To participate, you need to bring:

• An iPad with Procreate already installed (there is unfortunately no Android version of Procreate)

• An Apple pencil or tablet stylus (these can be purchased from retailers like JB Hifi, Officeworks or Big W)

Don't forget to bring a water bottle and snack for our breaks.

And, after completing the beginners course you can continue your digital art journey with our Intermediate Course (15th & 16th April, 9am to 12pm)
