Bendigo Regional HR Network Event - How to Have Difficult Conversations

This session will provide attendees with the ability to prepare for and engage in difficult conversations to address performance and conduct matters using a coaching approach. Review essential requirements for performance, explore common scenarios and apply the learnings to specific situations and circumstances during the workshop facilitated by Janelle Bricknell. Janelle will draw on practical models, her own extensive experience, summarise neuroscience concepts and provide insights to manage adverse reactions and teach strategies to ensure discussions result in actionable outcomes. This workshop provides essential tools for HR Professionals, business owners, Department Managers and Supervisors to understand Performance Management standards, use coaching models to solve problems, and lean into difficult conversations to achieve actionable results.

Janelle Bricknell is a Human Resources generalist practitioner with over 25 years of experience in a variety of industries and sectors including Health Care and Social Assistance, Manufacturing and Aged Care. Janelle has experience in facilitating internal training programs to upskill line managers in performance management processes and is currently the Head of Human Resources for an Aged Care facility.
