Blackball Grom Surf Camps ( Girls - Level 1)

Join us for an exciting 3-day surf camp in Byron Bay with professional surfer Luke Stedman and other special guests.

Our October school holiday camp will see your young athlete gain the technical skills and knowledge required for the next step in their surfing journey.

Who's It For?

This camp is a girls-only camp and is suitable for surfers between the ages of 8-16 yrs old who have already learned how to surf but still struggle with the basics of paddling & popping up. This camp will focus on:

Improving take-off and paddling techniques
Working on surfing stance to gain more balance
Progress to surf unbroken waves and become more confident in it

For maximum impact and personalized coaching, we will be splitting the groups into two age groups:

8-11 yrs
12-16 yrs

The Camp and What to Expect

By the end of the program, your child will have improved their surfing skills, learned life skills such as sportsmanship and teamwork, made new friends, and gained confidence in a fun, positive environment.

Surfing Development
Technical sessions run by our professional coaches and WSL stars. Stay tuned for exciting announcements!

Surf Video Analysis
This part will include video footage review. Footage for your kids to keep and take home.

Strength & Conditioning
Expert training and surf-specific movement classes

Surf Skating
On-land training, practicing manoeuvres that will help improve surfing skills.

Ocean awareness and nature connection
Knowledge of ocean safety and environmental responsibility. Including basic first aid and surf rescue techniques.

Surf competitions, challenges and games
Friendly comps to test skills and have fun with fellow surfers.

Any necessary taping or personal care items
