BUILD AND DESTROY EXPERIENCE @ (1HR All Ages) Design your own Universe presented by UnitePlayPerform supported by Melbourne Design Week / Art at the Bank

BUILD AND DESTROY EXPERIENCE invites you to design three metre high Hyper Temple artworks in a demolition party of self !  Hyper Temples are surreal and sentient oversized foam objects that appear to move with a life of their own. Audiences are invited to co-create these high vibrational artworks with the community, building them up and knocking them down. Join ØFFËRÎNGŠ (Missy Gilbert) as she guides you through movement, gestures, stacking, pushing and watch them turn into your very own designs within the UPP universe.  Disruptive interactive art adventures designed to agitate old habits through co-creation and dynamic play based interactions.

Expect live soundscapes, digital projections and play based prompts.  This workshop aims to support community connection, expression, sharing, listening and contribution.

The programme is a full throttle fantasy including intimate Playshop sessions, performance lead experimental works and interactive durational experiences that invite you, the participant to engage and develop UPP’s Playkit collections and design your own universe. 

Join award winning Artist, Founder, Educator and Disruptor ØFFËRÏNGŠ (Melissa Gilbert) for a journey through the incredible venue at the old Union Bank for a truly unique experience as she facilitates a journey into her socially engaging art.

UnitePlayPerform is launching their first furniture series ‘Sentients’ at Melbourne Design Fair, selected by the NGV curators for the ‘Discovery’ section of the fair. UPP follows their furniture showcase by opening up a week long programme to celebrate the design of our human experience supported by Melbourne Design Week and Cecile Place Precinct ‘Art at the Bank’ artistic residency.
