Description

๐Ÿค Burgers & Brotherhood

Series 4: Brotherhood Builds Resilience

Stronger connections. Stronger men. Stronger communities.

Resilience isn't something we build alone.

Over the first three Burgers & Brotherhood sessions, we've explored the pressures men carry, how to prepare for the unexpected, how to make good decisions under pressure and what happens after the storm.

Now we bring it all together.

Brotherhood Builds Resilience is the final session in the series โ€” an evening focused on connection, mateship and the people around us who help us get through tough times.

Because when life gets difficult, having the right gear and a good plan matters.

But so does having someone to call.

๐Ÿค What does brotherhood have to do with resilience?

Everything.

Strong communities are built through everyday connections โ€” not just when disaster strikes.

We'll explore how we can:

  • Build stronger connections with the people around us

  • Be a better mate when someone is doing it tough

  • Recognise when someone might need support

  • Start the conversations that men don't always have

  • Ask for help without feeling like we've failed

  • Create networks we can rely on when things go wrong

  • Turn mateship into practical community resilience

๐Ÿ’ฌ The power of checking in

Sometimes resilience looks like having a plan.

Sometimes it looks like knowing what to pack.

And sometimes it looks like sending a mate a message that simply says, โ€œYou good?โ€

We'll talk about the small things we can do every day that create stronger relationships and communities โ€” long before an emergency happens.

๐Ÿ’ก Why attend?

Because you don't have to carry everything alone.

This session is an opportunity to:

๐Ÿค Strengthen your local connections
๐Ÿ’ฌ Have honest conversations about mateship and support
๐Ÿง  Learn how to recognise when someone might be struggling
๐Ÿ“ฑ Understand the importance of checking in
๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Think about how we can build stronger communities

โ“ FAQs

Do I need to have attended the other Burgers & Brotherhood sessions?
No. While this session connects the themes from the full series, you're welcome to attend even if this is your first session.

Is this a men's support group?
No. It's a relaxed community event focused on connection, resilience, mateship and practical ways we can support one another.

Will we be talking about mental health?
We'll talk about checking in with mates, recognising when someone may need support and the importance of reaching out. This is not a counselling or therapy session.

Do I need to share anything personal?
No. You can participate as much or as little as you're comfortable with.

Is food provided?
Yes! Burgers are part of the evening. ๐Ÿ”

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Resilience starts before the emergency.

It starts with knowing your neighbours.

Knowing your mates.

Knowing who you can call.

And being someone others know they can call too.

That's brotherhood.

That's resilience.

๐Ÿ” Grab a burger. Bring a mate. Build the connection.
