WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: Water, hat, sunscreen, and aqua shoes - wear old comfortable clothes.  A support person is also welcome to accompany you.

ABOUT US:  Dragons' Abreast Central Coast is affiliated to Dragons Abreast Australia https://dragonsabreast.com.au/....  We are a diverse group of breast cancer survivors who participate in the sport of dragon boat paddling.  Our members are at all stages of recovery from breast cancer, and all levels of fitness.

ABOUT DRAGON BOAT PADDLING: Dragon Boat Paddling is a team sport with a maximum crew of 20 people. Paddlers use a specific synchronised paddling technique, and a sweep steers the boat. Dragon boat paddling promotes upper body movement and boosts lymphatic flow - evidence shows that these factors are helpful in managing symptoms following breast cancer treatment.  Regular dragon boat paddling builds overall fitness and it’s also great fun and very social.  No experience is necessary and dragon boating is suitable for people with all levels of fitness.

WHAT ELSE: If you want to continue paddling with our group after your first session we’ll help you apply for a ‘Dragon Pass’ so that you can learn to paddle at no cost for up to 28 days before you formally join and pay annual registration costs. We'll help you navigate the membership process.
