    Event description

As part of Boorloo Perth - Heritage Month, join  local artist Andrew Hawes and other East Perth Community volunteers for a heritage walk taking in snippets of Claisebrook's past.

Walks are on 8 April and 20 April.

This guided walk covers part of the East Perth Community Group's 'Gecko Walk' that showcases some of the works from the redevelopment of Claisebrook Cove over the last 30 years. Learn about the various people and industries that have been a part of this area and how they used the natural and built environment. Over 90 minutes, the walk covers approximately 2 km.

Special offers from local hospitality venues Toast Bistro and Gioia Italian Restaurant are included in your ticket price.

Meet at the Shelter or "Folly" (with the striped roof) in Victoria Gardens.

Accessibility: The majority of the walk is wheelchair and pram accessible and alternatives are available for the small portions of the walk which are on grass/uneven ground, steps or steep slope.  The level of difficulty is easy-moderate and there is some public seating at some of the art installations.  Some limited parking is available on the street in Royal St, at the CPP Victoria Gdns carpack (paid) and in the CPP Royal St Car Park (paid).  The meeting point is adjacent to Yellow Cat bus stops Cat ID 48/75 and using public transport is encouraged.

There is an accessible bathroom in Victoria Gardens but no other public toilets en route, although some businesses may allow bathroom access if required.

Brought to you by the East Perth Community Group and the City of Perth.
