Event description

The Conversations with Families and Friends Program is an education and information program that is for those who have lived or living experience supporting a family member or friend who has or does live with:

  • Mental ill health
  • Suicidality, and or
  • Alcohol and other drug use.

The program provides education and information opportunities for families and friends to hear from guest speakers from mental health and AOD services who share information and education on topics that are important to families and friends.

This month, we will be hearing from Professor Brett McDermott who is the Statewide Specialty Director of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services across Tasmania. He will be updating us on CAMHS reform.

After we hear from Brett, you will then have an opportunity to provide feedback on your experiences to influence positive change within the services as well as have your voice heard.

These sessions ARE NOT FOR:

  • service providers
  • consumers
