🖼️ 3D PAINTING WORKSHOP

Welcome to a uniquely fun workshop where absolutely no prior art skills are required! This class is all about transforming eclectic personal keepsakes into a beautiful piece of dimensional art. By arranging meaningful objects, spray painting them, and sealing the design under a glossy layer of resin, you will create a gorgeous, unified artwork packed with memory and style.

Duration: 3 hours (1:45 PM – 5:00 PM)

Collection: The resin takes overnight to set. You can collect your finished masterpiece from the church on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM.

🧳 What You Need to Bring

Please gather and bring along the following items for your creation:

An old framed picture or painting: It must have no glass—just the frame and the backing board. If it already has an old poster or artwork on the board, that is perfectly fine! We can incorporate that image into your design. Your personal keepsakes: Bring any sentimental or pretty objects you want to attach. Great examples include old photos, vintage jewellery, mirrors, childhood keepsakes, old-fashioned phones, or small toys your kids have outgrown.

Note: We will also have a selection of extra “odds and ends” available at the church for you to use if you wish to add more detail to your piece! All core tools, glue, paints, and resin are fully supplied.

🎨 What You Will Do Step-by-Step I will guide you through the entire process, and I am always on hand to help you arrange your composition:

1.Preparing the Base: We start by securely sealing your backing board to the frame and tidying up the background with a fresh coat of acrylic paint

2.The Assemblage: Using hot glue guns, we will arrange and secure all your chosen objects onto the board in a layout that looks great to you.

3.The First Spray Paint Layer: We will spray paint the background elements to create a uniform, cohesive base colour that completely transforms the items into a single art piece. We deliberately leave your most special items unpainted at this stage

4.The Highlights: Next, we place your special standout items onto the piece and can highlight them using a second metallic spray paint to make them truly pop

5.The Resin Pour: Once the paint is dry, we will pour crystal-clear artist resin over the entire composition. This securely locks everything in place and creates a gorgeous, glossy, watery finish.
