Darebin Creek Frog Monitoring Team Training 2026

Are you curious about frogs and the health of the Darebin Creek?

Join us for a fun and educational frog monitoring training evening at Beenak Reserve, Reservoir.

Learn how to identify different frog species, and how to record their calls. This hands-on training will equip you with the skills needed to contribute to our seasonal frog monitoring program from October to December.
During the training, you'll learn about the diverse range of frogs including the critically endangered Growling Grass Frog that call the Darebin Creek Valley home. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced frog enthusiast, this event is suitable for all levels of knowledge.
By participating in this training, you'll be prepared to contribute to important frog conservation efforts and able to help us better understand the local frog populations. So come along, meet fellow frog enthusiasts, and become a part of the Darebin Creek Valley frog monitoring team.

Registered participants will receive an email with information on the monitoring sites before the training session. If you do not receive an email a week before the training, please email therese@dcmc.org.au

Please note this training is outdoors and appropriate clothing and footwear should be worn. You may encounter some uneven ground and there are no toilets on site.
