Tell me about it! A new tool for starting difficult conversations about consent and sex
Event description
Introducing a great new tool for starting open and honest conversations with people who have disability
Laurel House’s Conversation Cards aim to start conversations about
- what consent is and isn't
- what a healthy relationship looks like
- people’s rights and responsibilities in sexual relationships
- people’s rights and responsibilities in the workplace
- and much more.
At the event you will
- see the cards and learn how to use them
- discover how the cards link to our existing disability resource toolkit and beyond, and
- gain support to continue having protective conversations with all the people in your life.
This event is intended for people with disability, their supporters, families and people who would like to know more about having and supporting conversations that can aid in the prevention of sexual violence.
The session includes a panel discussion and is a great opportunity to network with other community members working to prevent and respond to sexual violence.
