F/F presents "Paris, Texas" & "Memoirs of a Geisha"
Event description
F/F Social Club presents "Paris, Texas" by Wim Wenders and "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Rob Marshall.
Our May first watch is "Paris, Texas". It’s a film about not only physical distance, but emotional exile. Quiet, devastating, and tender, the film is a masterpiece of visual storytelling and human vulnerability. The second film is "Memoirs of a Geisha", a film layered with emotional depth, silent longing, and the struggle between identity and artistry, told through exquisite visuals and hauntingly poetic sequences.
Watch the films at your own pace, and then come join us on the 19th, to have prolific discussions that are mostly open-ended, but there will be prompts and activities should you need something to help navigate conversations.
We're excited to hear your thoughts on the film. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us > https://www.instagram.com/fram...
