***Kindly note that this HIKE has been designed to promote fitness and will require a moderate level of physical fitness to finish. We will maintain a moderate to brisk pace during this hike, completing 10 kilometres in slightly over 2.5 hours. Therefore, we suggest that you carefully review all event information and ensure that you can keep up with the group. If you don't engage in any physical activity during the week or lead a sedentary lifestyle, this hike may not be appropriate for you. Please check our shorter distance hikes at a more moderate pace***

Fingal is truly unique on the Mornington Peninsula and consistently ranks in our top 5 favourite hikes. The breathtaking views across Bass Strait are simply stunning. As you make your way down the winding path to Fingal Beach, you'll be surrounded by beauty, but the highlight of this hike is undoubtedly the striking rock formations and peaceful rock pools. While there is a slight challenge to the hike that may get your heart rate up, the reward is well worth the effort. Don’t let that deter you—it’s an incredibly fulfilling experience.

THINGS TO NOTE:

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WALK:

WHAT TO BRING:

- Water

- Snack. Ie: Banana, high protein snack, Jam sandwich.

- Electrolyte energy drink

- Beanie, gloves, lightweight water proof jacket

WHAT TO WEAR:

- A good pair of walking shoes is necessary, which could be hiking shoes or boots. It is recommended to avoid jogging runners as they may not provide enough grip, although it is not a strict requirement. No open toe shoes.

- Decent socks. Ie: a mix of wool, nylon & elastane. Non bulky (Visit hiking stores)

- Compact lightweight jacket - optional

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This walk is NOT suitable for children UNDER 14, babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time. This is a National Park, therefore no dogs or animals allowed.
