Fix-It Hub: August 2024
Event description
Welcome to the Fix-It Hub, your go-to destination for all things repair and sustainability.
At Fix-It Hub, we believe in the power of fixing, preserving, and promoting a more sustainable way of living.
To ensure we can provide the best service and experience for all, it is essential to book your repair sessions in advance. This not only helps us manage our resources efficiently but also ensures that we can cater to your specific repair needs effectively.
At Fix-It Hub, we firmly believe that the journey of repair should be accessible to all. That's why all fixes provided by our dedicated volunteers are free of charge. If a specialised part is needed to complete your fix please do bring it along with you or ask our team where you can purchase this from in advance of a follow-up session.
Fix-It Hub happens on the second Saturday of each month, 10:30am to 1pm, in The Mess Hall at The Coal Loader.
Repairing and Renewing Together
We are committed to fostering a community of repair enthusiasts, and we encourage our customers to stick around during their 20-minute sessions. By doing so, you not only get to witness the magic of your item being revived but also have the opportunity to lend a hand, learn something new, and share your own skills with others.
Volunteers
We wholeheartedly welcome volunteers who share our passion for repair. To become a volunteer, please fill out this form.
Proudly organised by North Sydney Council and delivered by The Sydney Library of Things
This is a North Sydney Council event, run in collaboration with our friends at The Sydney Library of Things. Together, through this series, we continue in our mission to promote sustainability, reduce waste, and empower our community through repair. Together, we can fix it and make a lasting impact on our environment.
While you are at The Coal Loader be sure to also pop into The Sydney Library of Things, our local sharing hub for extremely useful but only occasionally used items. Why buy when you can borrow?
