FRINGE Festival Human Library Book Cafe
Event description
Join us for this FREE drop-in event and engage in meaningful dialogue with our Human Books!
Listen to personal stories, ask questions openly, and aim to "un-judge" someone. It’s a space where individuals who might never speak to each other find common ground for thought-provoking conversations.
At our Book Cafés, you'll enter a safe environment to “borrow” human beings serving as open Books, engaging in conversations that challenge stigma and stereotypes.
The Human Library® is a global movement for social change and, in the truest sense of the word, a library of people.
All our Books are volunteers who generously donate their time to share their stories. Through these personal conversations, we hope to contribute to greater human cohesion—something our world needs now more than ever!
Venue Capacity: To ensure everyone can fully enjoy the Human Library experience, we limit capacity to 30 guests at a time. You may need to wait briefly before entering, but we promise it will be worth it!
Session Details: Each session lasts for about 30 minutes. You can choose a one-on-one experience or join a group of up to 4 readers per Book, subject to availability.
Age Requirement: This event is suitable for readers aged 15 and above. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Books will be sharing their life experiences at the following times:
