Event description

What is REGEN-Nations?

REGEN-Nations is a whole systems education program that empowers individuals and communities to develop impactful projects. The course curriculum is created by Global Ecovillage Network Oceania & Asia and regenerative action experts from our region.

Learn whole systems design and regenerative practices to develop your project idea into a holistic solution for sociological, cultural, economic, and ecological resilience and regeneration. Subscribe here for updates! Here is a quick look at each dimension:

How does the program work?

Our 6-month online learning journey is project based with interactive action learning and individual feedback from your dedicated facilitator. When you sign up for the complete course you also receive 2hrs of one to one coaching with one of our mentors, giving you access to expert guidance just for your project.

Each Dimension last four weeks followed by a break week. Join us for the whole program, or just the the Dimension you need the most, to develop your idea into a solution that can heal and restore ourselves, our communities, and our our planet.

To keep REGEN-nations as accessible to as many learners as possible, we have kept the course fee as low as we can. The course fee covers the speakers, facilitators and technology costs, but not the hours spent evolving the program from 2020. Our team are made up of participants and facilitators from 2020 who all joined the project because we grew so much from it and want to expand it to as many others as possible!

2020 course impact

Oceania & Asia hold many of the worlds climate vulnerable nations. With dense populations and great social and political divides, many countries already face challenges prior to the COVID19 pandemic and will face more vulnerabilities and challenges ahead. There is an urgent need for regenerative projects on the ground which both embody traditional wisdom and have a holistic and appropriate approach.

In 2020 the first REGEN-Nations course was gifted to 16 project teams from Oceania & Asia. We welcomed 49 participants from Australia, Japan, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Our live expert speaker sessions were open to the public and joined by an additional 120 people. At the end of the course, 10 projects were incubated & activated. Read more about the 2020 program here.

We need your support!

All donations will go into the scholarship fund which offer partial bursaries to support learners with financial difficulties.

While building this programme, we have received so much support in volunteering hours and skills from the team, trainers, speakers and volunteers. In order for the programme to be sustainable and to reward our teachers and facilitators fairly for their work, we have set up a fee for course access. However, we also recognise that we live in systems of inequity and the course fee might be out of reach for many people in the region of Oceania & Asia. We want to promote the value of abundance rather than scarcity by setting up this scholarship fund.

In return, we will send to you an amazing talk from the programme as a gift.

How can you help us?

We really believe REGEN-nations is able to support the regenerative transformation of our planet and want to reach as many people as possible. You can get involved too!

  • Do you have a project idea? Join us for a live speaker session, a dimension or the whole course to expand your idea and explore whole systems regenerative design! Send our program to people you know who are working on or planning a project
  • Do you share our mission and want to support us? Please donate what you can, we greatly appreciate any amount you can give.
  • Share our campaign to your communities and networks - help us reach more people

We are passionate about regenerating the Earth and her people, and your support will bring us closer to our mission!

Risks & Challenges

We have run this program before, and are previous participants so know first hand how good the program is. We are all working on our projects in our communities now! We have been reviewing and improving the course curriculum since last year and are busy organising the live course.  We have the learning platform, the materials, the speakers and the team.

Our biggest risk is how we stand out from the crowd, and this is where your support comes in! We need support from people like you, to share and spread our course far and wide and reach as many people as possible. We have designed our course so that we could have as many participants as apply, and each will have dedicated facilitation. We know how important it is to have support and community when stepping into action!

Who are Global Ecovillage Network?

You can find out more about us in this video:

We have a youth network too - NextGENOA - a group of youth who are committed to care for the earth by practicing and promoting sustainable living and ecovillage values within the region & potentially beyond the region.
