Gardening Workshop - Garden Ecology
Event description
This workshop will delve into the world of who is living in your garden and how they may (or may not!) be helping your garden grow. It will help you to be a better gardener by working with nature to get the best out of your garden. You will learn to look at your garden with fresh eyes and will explore:
- who lives in the garden
- who eats who
- which plants are best for biodiversity
- find more wildlife in your garden than you though was there
- microclimates that support biodiversity - the ones we want and the ones we don't
- plant interactions, plants helping plants
This workshop will include a look at beneficial insects and how to encourage them to help combat garden pest problems such as the papaya mealy bug.
Location: my garden in Yeronga
Morning tea included.
Please note that while you will get the chance form a bit of a look at my garden, this workshop does not include a garden tour.
The workshop is limited to 12 people. Please be aware that this event has a no refunds policy. This is because people changing their minds, or booking a spot when they are not sure if they can come makes organising small events like this difficult. If there are extenuating circumstances, please get in touch with me via gardening@katewall.com.au
Tickets are $40 plus a booking fee of $2.85.
