Join us for an exciting tour of the Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative's impressive 90-tonne lobster facility! As part of the Shore Leave festival, we're opening our doors to people who want to learn about Australia's largest single fishery.
Guided by our friendly factory staff and local fishers, you'll get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how we bring the world-famous western rock lobster from the ocean to your plate. Discover the rich history and vibrant community spirit that has kept this global seafood producer thriving for nearly 75 years.
Come along, meet the locals, and learn about the fascinating journey of our lobsters. It's a fun, educational experience for all ages!
Occupational safety and health
– Sturdy, enclosed footwear must be worn (no sandals/ thongs etc.)
– Hat or hairnet required when in the factory (hairnets provided)
– An adult must accompany children under 12
– This event is free, but you must register for a ticket (If you are unable to make it, please cancel your ticket so others have the opportunity to attend).
