Event description

Did you know that you don't just have to survive through your periods, but you can thrive? Did you know that the female body has a natural cycle and, when understood and respected, can enable creativity, productivity, assertiveness, charisma and connectivity to shine across different stages of the cycle.

The menstrual cycle can be a confusing and frankly overwhelming topic for girls, teens and their parents. This workshop breaks all of the information down to simple, practical tips to master your cycle with the help of Cecelia Heyler, Naturopath and fertility awareness educator.

The workshop will include:
• The anatomy and physiology of the menstrual cycle (with interactive activities to test knowledge)
• Information about how women and girls they might feel different (physically, emotionally, and behaviourally) through each phase of the menstrual cycle
• Information about where to go to seek help if something isn't right
• Practical tips for how to manage symptoms that come with periods
• A take home resource including a summary of everything included in the workshop
• Parent resource

This workshop, delivered in partnership with the Ipswich Libraries and Ipswich City Council's Active and Healthy Program, is targeted towards young women, girls and their parents.
