Half-Day Sitting - September 6

Led by Barton Stone
You are invited to join this half-day sitting suited both for beginning and experienced meditators. There will be alternating periods of zazen (seated meditation, usually thirty-minute periods) and kinhin (walking meditation, usually ten minutes).
Sliding scale donations, all are welcome regardless of resources.

Myozen Barton Stone began Zen practice in San Francisco in 1960, sitting sesshin with Sokoji with Suzuki Roshi soon after his arrival. Barton lived with his family for four years of residential practice at Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, received Dharma transmission from Jisho Warner Roshi, and brings a longstanding commitment to peace and social justice to his teaching.
