Emotions are our power, our intuition, our tools and our guides. Overwhelming at times, they challenge us to see, they challenge us to live. Harness Your Emotions is a teaching space where you learn to welcome your emotions and harness their power!

"Harness Your Emotions" is a skill building, immersive workshop series! Guided by the Acceptance & Commitment (ACT) model of therapy, enlightened by somatic & energetic understandings of healing & inspired by "Decolonsing Therapy- Dr Jennifer Mullan" ideals. Harness Your Emotions is a reflective space where we welcome the emotion into the room & practice acknowledging, accepting & expanding before harnessing the emotion itself. A practical teaching space where we experience, expand and learn. You can expect to welcome the emotion into the room so we can learn to harness it together.

What you will leave with;

Skills & perspectives to help recognise and welcome the emotion
Skills & perspectives to help expand and create space for the emotion
Skills & perspectives to help harness the emotion
Your intentions for experiencing the emotion moving forward
(hopefully) a sense of confidence when experiencing the emotion moving forward

What does it mean to harness your emotions? It means utilizing the power of each emotion with the understanding they come with a purpose. For example; you may use lethargy to rest, you may use anxiety to see barriers or risks & you may use anger to activate action.

Harness Your Emotions is a monthly workshop: each month we explore a different emotion, the insights from each emotion frequently informing the rest, as we learn to see emotion as water steadily flowing through our bodies.

Feb 25th - GRATITUDE
March 25th - SHAME
April 29th - ANGER
May 27th - DEPRESSON
June 24th - PASSION
July 29th - STRESS/ ANXIETY

You can attend all, or some of the workshops. It's up to you! Come to what you're drawn. it is helpful to note that coming to all or a significant amount will help you stay in flow & practice of harnessing your emotions whilst also building your understanding of how they intersect & inform each other). Must book tickets for each workshop separately.

Payment: Tickets $45

Sliding scale available;

Free for Mob (limited number of tickets available)
$25 for those unwaged or experiencing financial strain (limited number of tickets available)
$65 for those who feel financially comfortable enough to give a little extra subsiding the supported tickets and ensuring the workshops are supported enough to continue running.

Location: Join the Dots, Marrickville (Gallery Space)

Accessibility: Entrance through the front door of the gallery space. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

Public transport & parking:
Buses
430, 426, 423 city bound buses stop just across the road from the warehouse at intervals of around 15 minutes
430, 426, 423 west bound buses stop up the road in front of Enmore Park, about a 4 minute walk from the warehouse.
The walk is on a slight decline from bus stop to warehouse.
Nearest train stations :
Sydenham - 18 min walk OR 430 west bound to train station from warehouse
Marrickville - 23 min walk OR 423 west bound to train station from warehouse
Parking: There is no parking available at the venue. The closest free parking is on Smith Street or Cook Road.

What to bring: Yourself & some paper and a book in case you feel the need to write down anything you hear or what you learn & to set your intentions

What will be provided: Tea & coffee. Those who are subscribed to Powerfully Human will be emailed an overview of the skills learnt during the workshop + key highlights or reflections that may be helpful. Option to subscribe during the workshop or subscribe via the Powerfully Human website www.powerfully-human.com
