IMPACCT Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Information session
Event description
At the Centre for Improving Palliative, Aged and Chronic Care through Clinical Research and Translation (IMPACCT), we supervise higher degree students in a range of thematic areas in chronic disease, cancer and palliative care, including symptom management, supportive care and improving models of care as well as patient and carer experience.
You might not be sure what a PhD involves, what opportunities it brings or how feasible it is, especially if you want to continue with your current work role alongside of your studies.
You might be a clinician interested in research who hasn't really considered doing a PhD, or you might like to hear how a PhD might support accelerating the research work you are already planning.
If this resonates, join us for a one-hour online information session at 4.00pm on Friday 23 August 2024.
Together with our team of researchers, we will de-bunk some of the myths of doing a PhD and explain how a PhD can be undertaken to suit your circumstances.
