Foraging & Plant Identification: A Neighborhood Walk
Event description
Are you interested in foraging wild plants for food and medicine? Maybe you have done some foraging but would like to add confidence to your gathering and improve your plant identification skills. Learn from experienced forager, botanist, and herbalist Cal Wolfpack in this 2-hour introductory to intermediate level foraging class. The first hour of the class will be in the classroom covering foraging safety, ethics, and basic plant identification characteristics. For the second hour, participants will venture onto the streets to observe common neighborhood plants, both wild and cultivated, and discuss their identification, harvest, and uses.
There is free parking on 5th St.
