June Writing Workshop: Components of a Strong End
Event description
Saturday June 28
9:30am-11:00am Pacific Time
Continuing with Elena's Essential Components Series . . . (If you missed part one, Components of a Strong Opening, you can access it here or part two, Components of a Strong Middle, you can access it here.)
After putting in all the work to write an engaging opening and keeping readers hooked with a dynamic middle, it's time to cross the finish line.
A strong end requires specific components, including a solid climax (which is so important that we're covering it twice!), an answer to the big question of the book, and a satisfying hint or indication of the new world the characters will inhabit.
Whether you're writing a short story, novella, or a full-length book—fiction, narrative nonfiction, or memoir—the ending must be successful for an agent or editor to take on your project, for reviewers to give high marks, and for readers to flock to your next release.
Join Senior Editor Elena Hartwell Taylor for this fun and informative workshop to keep you on track for a solid manuscript ready to query or publish.
