Kawakawa Volunteer Fire Brigade Annual Fishing Competition

The Kawakawa Volunteer Fire Brigades major fundraiser for the year is back. Funds from this event go towards projects for the station or towards helping obtain equipment to assist us to provide the best quality service to our community.

This year there are 2 Major Prize Sections:

Snapper:

Average Weight Snapper - $600 Prize Package

Mystery weight Snapper - $450 Prize Package

Heaviest Snapper - $250 Prize Package

Other Species:

Heaviest Kingi - $600 Prize Package

Heaviest Kahawai - $450 Prize Package

Mystery weight Kingi/Kahawai - $250 Prize Package

Plus, Loads of Spot Prizes to be Won, kids included! 

Hāngī:

All entries receive a Hāngī meal.

Key Info:

Hāngī pick up from 3:00 pm.

Weigh in closes at 5:00 pm. (Must be in line at the back of the Fire Brigade).

All catch to be gilled and gutted. 

All catch weighed to be auctioned.

Fish Auction at 5:30 pm.
