Event description

Leading with Wholeness

An introductory mini-series for grounding your leadership with both feminine and masculine energies

Women, Men, and People worldwide are being called to wake up their nurturing instincts in the movement toward a more socially and environmentally just economy. In many parts of the world, Western mechanised culture has taught men of influence to suppress their innate caring instincts and taught women in positions of power to prioritise their rational minds. For the sake of young and future generations, we need to creatively break these behaviour patterns and retrain ourselves to show up in our communities and act from a place of wholeness.

The ‘Leading with Wholeness’ mini-series is designed as an introductory level course for leaders throughout our society, from Parents to Presidents, who are ready to let go of outdated habits and ways of being. By embracing Indigenous and Western knowledge systems, we’ll, directly and indirectly, confront generations of accepted norms. Together, we’ll search for a more integrated state that accepts and celebrates the spiritual, scientific, mystical, and mundane.

In the West, we view feminine and masculine energies at the human level of gender. On the other hand, Indigenous traditions promote a perspective about harmony and balance with self, others and all of Life. For most Westerners, we are being called to dismantle these colonial ways of being, thinking, and relating in order to allow space to reconnect with our sacred secular wisdom.

Whether you’re responsible for leading yourself, your family, your organisation, your community or your nation, you’re accountable for choosing what legacy you pass on to future generations.

So, If you’re ready to:

  • take steps to live with more authenticity,
  • make deeper inquiries into what it means to be fully human at this time and,
  • celebrate (y)our inner feminine and masculine qualities at home and work, then,

we look forward to sharing by the Circle!

The use of these terms is intended to be inclusive of any person who identifies with such labels, including trans women/men.

We understand that discussions regarding masculinity, femininity, gender and leadership necessarily involve all persons on the gender spectrum, including those who identify as non-binary and gender non-conforming people. In addition, ‘Leading with Wholeness’ seeks to approach inquiries relating to the terms “masculine” and “feminine” from an integrative perspective that bridges knowledge systems and transcends their associations with oppressive patriarchal gender roles.

We welcome and celebrate all gender identities and forms of gender expression at the Fire Circle.

Circle 1 (Oct 25): Feminine & Masculine integration basics

Circle 2 (Nov 1): Leading with wholeness at Home

Circle 3 (Nov 8): Leading with wholeness at Work

  • practical ways of being in sync with all of life, not against it.

  • A holistic and grounded state of being: embrace the spiritual and scientific, the mystical and mundane.
  • Let go of what no longer serves you (us): dismantle colonial ways of being, thinking, and relating in order to reconnect with (y)our sacred secular wisdom.

MENTORS

Grandmother Lánésáan (US)

LánéSaán Moonwalker has been an oracle, healer, spiritual teacher and environmental guardian for close to 50 years. She began her training in the healing arts at the age of 12 from family members and friends who were highly skilled curanderas (traditional practitioners who combine Native, Catholic, and African spiritual beliefs and practices). This lineage is about a medicine way of Being.

Grandmother LánéSaán is also internationally recognized and has travelled around the globe as part of her work. She sits on the International Council of Elders for the Aniwa Gathering and holds a degree in humanities and the visual arts from the University of Colorado. She has been a licensed minister for more than 40 years and is a Reverend Canon in the Brigade of Light.

Mac Macartney (UK)

An inspiring British man who has been learning from and working with First Nations people from over five countries over the last four decades. Elder Mac’s journey of tracing his own pre-Roman, British tribal roots is an excellent example of how we can find deeper connections to our Earth. He brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom in bridging western and Indigenous worlds, including experience consulting for prominent organisations like Unilever and Procter & Gamble.

Lorna Davis (US)

Lorna has served as President of multinational consumer goods companies for 20+ years, in Danone, Kraft and Mondelez. Lorna has been a key leader in Danone’s purpose journey, where she established that $6 Billion entity as a Public Benefit Corporation and achieved B Corp status in 2018, making it the largest B Corp in the world. Now, inspired by the teachings of indigenous teachers, Lorna supports the shift in how leaders operate so that they settle down and allow their inner wisdom to guide their activities and use their businesses as a force for good. She runs retreats, workshops and coaches individuals while also serving on the board of a number of organizations that are committed to a meaningful purpose.
