ABOUT STEPHANIE CHEROTE:
Australian born singer-songwriter Stephanie Cherote cut her teeth a few years back in NYC c/o the East Village folk scene, moved back to an off-the-grid cabin in NSW, raised money for a recording and managed to lay to tape her debut album Some Holy Longing at the legendary Grove Studio with a 12-piece orchestra, featuring members of the ACO. It's an album of amazing emotional scope, mixing orchestral flourishes with a folk backbone. The Guardian described the LP in its entirety “a masterpiece”. Stephanie will be playing songs from the record in a bare-bones acoustic set at Station Street Co Op.
